8 March 2021 – HONG KONG: FORMIA, the international guest amenity and hospitality specialist, is proud to announce a new Corporate Social Responsibility initiative that will focus on supporting communities that the company operates from, both locally and internationally.
Aligning with FORMIA’s mission to curate meaningful concepts and products that inspire and delight, whilst also ensuring the comfort and care of passengers, the company has chosen to focus on the education and wellness sectors.
The two organisations the amenities supplier have teamed up with are Changing Young Lives Foundation and Habitat For Humanity Hong Kong. Each charity works with underprivileged communities that often lack access to basic modern technologies and amenities. To support their work, the families they serve and the partners they work with in the community, FORMIA will be donating a range of products including computers, laptops, smart phones and essential home hygiene products and toiletries that will be distributed to those who stand to benefit the most from them.
The donated goods will be used by members of staff who develop and deliver the programmes as well as going directly to underprivileged households who are most in need of these devices and products.
The intention is for FORMIA to build an ongoing, long term relationship with these organisations to have a sustained impact on the community. Plans on how the support will be structured are currently in development and include fundraising activities; donating funds, products and services; volunteering staff time and joining one-off projects such as care home renovations or school improvement programmes.
