On Board Hospitality Awards

Swiss International Air Lines’ “Winter Collection” kits, supplied by FORMIA, took top prize in the Innovation category at a new awards scheme organised by leading travel industry magazine, “On Board Hospitality”. These kits reflect the heritage, alpine terrain and winter sports so commonly associated with Switzerland. They consist of typically Swiss “wearables” such as a beanie hat and neck warmer as well as a range of high quality cosmetic and comfort items.

Travel Plus Awards

SWISS’ “Winter Collection” kits went on to win as well the Most Innovative amenity kit category at the annual Travel Plus Awards ceremony. This awards scheme recognises those airlines that offer outstanding customer service by presenting passengers with a range of high quality on-board kits.

SWISS’ Director Inflight Products & Services, Sarah Klatt-Walsh, said: “We wanted to bring a sustainable amenity offering in a very different way to the existing on-board propositions. Our vision, ideas and expectations for this Winter Collection brought live by FORMIA, met our requirements 100%.  They are distinctively, iconically Swiss in character, high quality and provide for a number of post flight uses.  Exactly what our concept demanded. We are absolutely delighted to have won these awards.”

On Board Hospitality, reflecting its position as a leading travel industry journal, has this year launched a new awards scheme recognising excellence in the on-board amenity kit sector.  Almost 100 products in eight categories were entered.  Initial judging and the selection of the finalists was made online by the magazine’s international readership.  Final judging was made by a panel of experts from the travel and hospitality industry. 

Travel Plus, regarded as the industry’s pre-eminent event, the annual TP Airline Amenity Bag Awards recognise the most desirable life-style brands, beauty and skin care products and the world’s most accomplished and influential designers.
