FORMIA & Air Astana take Medium Haul Luxury to New Heights

Hong Kong. 1st January 2013:

FORMIA announces a further extension to its existing commercial relationship with Turkish Airlines.  In 2011, the two companies signed a long term contract for the supply of a range of FORMIA’s high quality inflight service amenity kits for passengers. Now, as part of the airline’s drive to deliver an outstanding world class travel experience for its passengers, FORMIA has been awarded to supply specially developed bags for presentation to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims en route to Mecca.

In a move which is believed to be unique amongst airlines, during the flight each passenger will receive a bag containing an extensive range of items designed not only to heighten their enjoyment of the flight itself, but also to serve them at their end destination.

The bags have been carefully designed to be worn comfortably either over the shoulder or across the chest for added security.

All products comply with the highest standards expected of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and enable them to perform their sacred rituals comfortably. Commenting, Roland Grohmann, Managing Director of FORMIA, said: “It gives us particular pride to have developed these special kits for Turkish Airlines.  The thoughtfulness of Turkish Airlines in catering for the comfort and convenience of its pilgrim passengers has been matched by the care with which we have designed these kits. We hope they will add to the convenience and enjoyment of everyone as they undertake their pilgrimage.”

FORMIA offers the travel industry a full range of quality bespoke amenity kits, bags, cosmetics and comfort items as well as tailor-made in-flight service concepts. Over the past three decades, FORMIA has forged a unique product expertise in working with hotels and airlines. The company operates globally and brings a professional and distinctive approach to premium guest and in-flight service amenities.

FORMIA‘s partnerships with luxury brands focuses in identifying the most profitable strategic fit, providing the Brand more visibility and impact and consequently adding value to the airlines’ proposition.
